Fusion Baked Pork Wantons

This is what i cooked when i like asian wantons while Ben likes raviolis! I created this dish to make Ben more accepting to my favourite wontons and he ended up loving it! It was a really yummy dish with all the flavours coming together beautifully!

Homemade Enchiladas Sauce

Ingredients:

  1. 125g minced pork
  2. 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  3. 1/2 red onion, chopped
  4. Small bunch of coriander, chopped
  5. 2 tbsp soy sauce
  6. Dash of pepper
  7. 1 tbsp sesame oil
  8. 1 tbsp corn flour
  9. 1 egg
  10. Wanton wrappers
  11. Mozzarella Cheese
  12. Enchiladas sauce/ tomato sauce
  13. Spring onions

Method:

  1. Marinate minced pork with garlic, onion, coriander, egg and all the sauce and seasonings.
  2. Wrap about 1tsp of fillings in each wanton wrapper.
  3. Cook wantons in boiling water for about 4-5minutes.
  4. Spoon some enchiladas sauce ina baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Place wantons in the baking dish and top with more sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Top with spring onions before serving warm.
