Ben was very underwhelmed when he saw the cakes cooling in the kitchen. He was commenting that it looks so plain, asking me if I was going to frost it. Ah Ma on the other hand kept saying that it’s beautiful. Don’t let this plain jane cake fool you! It is extremely moist and packed with flavours. And be warned, it is very filling too. After eating 2 slices, Ben looked at me and said that this is easily one of the best cakes he has eaten, and he couldn’t believe it as it looks so plain. Give this recipe a shot if you enjoy light, moist, fluffy, buttery cakes =)

1 tsp vanilla extract
150g blueberries (you can substitute with other fruits)

250g butter, softened
250g cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup whole milk
2. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla till pale and fluffy. Add in eggs, one at a time and beat well.
4. Add flour, beat briefly till mixed.
